Bec Lillie is Chief Human Experience Officer for Alexion. In this role, she oversees the Human Resources, Information Technology, and Patient Advocacy functions and builds critical capabilities for the company. Bec is a seasoned human capital strategist with more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Ms. Lillie joined Alexion in 2013. Prior to being named Chief Human Experience Officer, she held positions of increasing responsibility, serving as Alexion’s Head of Leadership & Innovation, Head of People Operations, Chief of Staff to the CEO, Head of HR R&D, and Head R&D Operations. Ms. Lillie has deep expertise in designing and executing human-centered organizations, operating models, and corporate governance structures. At Alexion, she revamped the R&D operating model, managed the human capital component of the Synageva acquisition, and modernized the Human Resources organization. She also built Alexion’s People Operations function from the ground up, led the creation of Alexion’s internal collaboration and communication tool to democratize innovative ideas across the enterprise, and established the Leadership & Innovation function to focus on building critical capabilities and develop leaders across the enterprise. Before joining Alexion, Ms. Lillie worked in R&D at AstraZeneca, as well as at Pfizer in Strategic Operations, R&D & HR.

Prior to Therion, she was the Director of Human Resources for ViaCell; Human Resources Business Partner at Genzyme Corporation; and, was a Founder/Partner of Outsourcing Solutions, Inc., a human resource consulting firm. Mr. Rice received his A.A. in business administration and management from De Anza College and has been published in several HR research resources.
